Competition Guidelines
As a proud partner of the Miss Utah Organization, the Utah Child Protection Registry is excited to launch the 2nd Annual Contestant Outreach Competition. In 2010 the Competition raised thousands of registrations in a matter of weeks, and we are so excited to see what the 2011 Miss Utah contestants will do to top last year's competition.
Each contestant will spend 12 weeks educating Utahns about the Utah Child Protection Registry on how the program works, how to sign up, and what they can expect from registering their household addresses. Please review the Registry website, https://donotcontact.utah.gov to make sure you understand how the program works and how to explain the registration process.
Keep in mind that this is a program that helps people avoid certain spam, so we do not want any of the contestants to start blast e-mailing people. Above all, contestants should be educating families about the program and giving them all the information to sign up, and then leaving it up to the families to make the choice to register their e-mails and phone numbers.
Remember:
- Individuals you speak to about the Registry need to go through the registration process themselves. You cannot sign up for them.
- To get credit in the competition for a registered address, you must have the households use the unique address that has been assigned to you. This is the only way we can track your registration numbers.
- All registered addresses must be legitimate.
With your help, the Utah Child Protection Registry has the potential to grow and reach more families in Utah.
